Aidan Booth, Steve Clayton and Tim Godfrey have just released a new version of their popular software, Domains on Fire. As a “getting acquainted” gift, they are offering you a free copy. This is in the run-up for a new product they are announcing, called $100K Factory. They have created 4 training videos about their new product. In video 2, they are offering you the free copy of Domains on Fire. But once they announce, they are removing the free offer. When you buy a domain name, you want to be sure to ask this question, “Has this domain name black-listed?” If so, don’t... [...]

Patricio Robles says, “Google has launched a free tool for AdSense publishers that provides content recommendations. Dubbed Matched content, the tool is similar in nature to popular offerings from companies like Taboola and Outbrain, and “generates contextually relevant and personalized article recommendations from the pages on your website” and is available immediately to select AdSense publishers with “multiple pages and high volumes of traffic.” To add Matched content to their sites, publishers generate ad code like they would regular AdSense units. Publishers... [...]

Ginny Marvin says, “Beginning on January 4th, AdSense publishers began reporting on the AdSense product support forum that their ads were redirecting to spammy sites. When publishers tried to disable the ads using the ad blocker tool in AdSense, they, too, would get redirected out of their AdSense accounts. Even when they managed to block the ads or domains causing the problems, the ads reappeared again shortly. The issue has apparently been happening since November, with dozens of publishers now posting about the problem on the forum. Yesterday, Google issued a formal response on the forum... [...]

Jason Duke has been buying domain names and then building sites for quite a while, now. He uses them for other purposes, but primarily he turns them into Private Blog Networks. He finds these available domain names for PBNs at what he calls his Ultra Domain Source for PBNs. The reason he likes this source is two-fold: 1. There’s no competition to speak of, so the cost to acquire the domain name is very low. 2. The quality of these domain names is quite high; “amazing” is the word he uses. He is confident you will be more than satisfied with his information because: • This will... [...]
Ginny Marvin says, “To make ads copy easier to read, Google is rejiggering how AdSense text ads display on mobile devices. In the new look, shown above, the headline (in blue) and description are bigger than in former iterations. That’s a good thing for users, no doubt. The next step Google’s taken here in the name of a “more interactive experience” is a bit odd. Now a swipe or click on the dot will show the advertiser’s . . . display URL. It seems unlikely users are going to feel a sense of gratification or satisfaction at that reveal for the effort it took to swipe. Presumably... [...]
The latest article on ‘Marketing Land’ is titled “Google Updates AdSense Ad Creation Process And Interface”. Ginny Marvin says, “Google has overhauled the ad creation process and interface in AdSense to make it easier to set up and deploy new ads across your site. When modifying text ad styles, a preview will show how each change affects the look of the ad, including font style, color and size. Once you’ve made changes to an ad unit, they can be implemented across an entire site rather than at the ad unit level“. Google Updates AdSense Ad Creation Process... [...]
The latest post on ‘Mashable’ is titled “Google AdSense Conspiracy Theory Angers Online Publishers”. Armand Valdes says, “An anonymous whistleblower, claiming to be a former Google employee, came out last week and posted a scathing exposé accusing Google of banning hundreds of web publishers from its AdSense advertising system. The leaker claims that Google underwent a massive AdSense policy change in 2009 because publishers were making too much money. “We were told to go and look into publishers accounts, and if any publisher had accumulated earnings exceeding $5,000... The latest article on ‘Marketing Land’ is titled “Google Updates AdSense Text Ads For Better Readability On Both Mobile And Web”. Ginny Marvin says, “Google has rolled out a fairly stark new look for AdSense text ads that is designed to be easier to read across devices. The ads have a default color palate of blue and grey and use the Roboto font that Google already uses on Android OS. Prior to the update Roboto Light was the only Roboto versionavailable for AdSense text ads“. Google Updates AdSense Text Ads For Better Readability On Both Mobile And Web Marketing... [...]
