Twitter sold its first stock on Thursday. The opening price was $26 per share, for 70 Million shares. This proved to be a conservative price because before the end of the day, the price rose to over $50 per share. Commentators are remarking about the contrast with the Facebook stock launch. Facebook saw a major drop in its stock price after its IPO (Initial Public Offering.). Its price has only recently starting to rise above the opening price.
